It Is asserted, though we do not know the authortty on whlch the assertlon is based, that our senses fall asleep in a deflnlte order. Pirst the eyeUds close, and the sense of sight is lost, then the sense of taste follows, and after that smell. hearing and touch go in the order camed. Touch is sald to be the Hghtest sleeper of all, and the flrst to be aroused. The reader who is curious about such things mlght ta.t the accuraey of these statement by axperimenting with hls friends.
