Two false impressions have gone abroad about the death of W. T. Bell who died at the hospital one week ago. One operatioo was perfornied for appendicltis and not two as some papers stated. Two operations for this disease can not be performel, for when the appendix is once removed the patiƫnt is never again subject to the disease. The other false impression is that Mr. Bell was poisoned by milk while in the U. of M. hospital. He was poisoned by milk at the time thejhospital poisoning occured but he was in his own home and had then no connection with the hospital.
