A sad accident occurred in the Michigan Central freight house Tuesday cost the life of John B. Schlicht, a brakeman who lives in Ypsilanti. As his train pulled in ,from the east Mr. Schlicht jumped off and, running into the freight house, began a friendly struggle with John Felch. Releasing his friend, Schlicht ran out to the engine, climbed into the tender, and asked for a chew of tobáceo. His friends noticing that he could not put the tobáceo into his mouth and that he liad a wild stare in ais eyes, went to him, just as he sank down helpless. Upon examination it was found that. during the scuffle his head had struck the sharp corner of a crate, making a serious wound. His right side is completely paralyzed, and he was taken to the university hospital unablo to speak or give any signs of recognition to those around him. He died about three o'clock. A post-mortem examination was held and revealed a blood clot on the brain which had caused paralysis and death. The dead man leaves a wife and child. The friend with whom he was playfully scuffling when hurt is heart broken.
