Mrs. Helen Cleeves of Ann Arbor, is spending a short time liere with Mrs G. H. Macomber. Ara Palmer and daughters of Brook lyn visited at J. A. Lowery's last Pri day and Saturday. Miss Jessie Allen went to Frankfor Priday, where she has been engaged to teach for the coming year. Miss Edith Case went to Klgin, 111 Thursday, where she has accepted a position as teacher for the coming year. Sldney A. Case, who went to Boston week ago with his únele, Barrett Robinson has secured a position there as clerk. Miss Ida Silkworth began her duties as teacher at Bridgewater Centre, Monday, and Miss Julia Kirchhofer in District No. 8, Bridgewater. Mrs. A. C. Wright, who carne here two months ago on accoumt of poor health, returned to her home in Willow Springs, near Chicago, on Wednesday, her health greatly improved. Miss Alberta Johnston, of Clinton, who has been spending the past few days with relatives and friends, returned home Monday afternoon, accompanied by her aunt, Mrs. E. M. Conklin. LODI. Ex-Supervisor Michael Grosshaus with wife and son visited Ann Arbor last Friday. Little Pearl Hiscock, of Ann Arbor, has been spending the past week at the home of her unele, Walter Burnett, of Lodi. Mr. and Mrs. Christian Bohnett entertained their daughter, Mrs. Adolph Fritz and little children from Ann Arbor last Thursday. Miss Emma Gannett spent Thursday at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. William Marken in Lodi going there on her wheel. Dr. J. C. Stevens, dentist and real estáte dealer of Detroit, came to Lodi on hia wheel last Saturday and spjnt Sunday with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Stevens. During the two weeks end ing last Friday, Wallace Kehfuss sold 4100 sheep to farmers in the vicinity of Lodi. These sheep are part of the mammoth shipment recently received from the West. Mrs. Ilejjina Haynea spent Tuesday with her sister, Mrs. Margaret Hoelzle, in Ann Arbor. School commenced Monday with ifteen scholars, and Miss Lily Bross, of Dexter, as teacher. Will Dormán, while at work in the Delhi Mills last Saturday got caughton a line shaft. His overalls wero torn off but he was not seriously hurt. His iscape from death was almost miracuous. Pour men came from Ann Arbor last Sunday pretending they vvanted to fish.
