The Observer describes .as follovvs a severe storm which visited Saline iast Thursday : Today 's storm was tho most severe of its kind thatever visited our village. With out warningr it dashed down upon us at about 12 :3S with teriffic f ury and thus it continued for about twelve minutes. The water that accompanied it was dealt out in torrente. Trees were broken and blown down all around town, windows were broken, traosoms over many of the stores were blow off and the oceupants below well soaked. Outhouses sell this afternoon at a premium. Many of the handsome sliade trees will tjo cut up into wood. West of town on the Feather's place it did considerable damage toöinall buildings as it played the same havoc at M. Seeger's. C. Marión had a bain unroofed. W. H. D.ivccport's flne residenoe was pot missed, and had itg blinds and iron oregtlng badly wrecked. The upper section of the steeplo of the Baptist ! church waa torn off and landed in aJ ] wreek in the pafctor's garden.
