Teachers' Association Meets
The first meeting of the Washtonaw County Teachers' Association for this year was held in the High School building last Saturday. The attendance was very fair. Dr. Copeland gave an excellent address on the care of the eyes. Prof. Andrew Tenbrook spoke on the work of the Humane Society, and songs of the society were sung by school children. Mrs. Lydia DeWitt spoke on the "New Woman" and Commissioner Lister gave a practical talk on the work of teachers' classes and home study for teachers. Talks by Professor Chute, on physics, and Professor Hoyt, on child study, completed the program. The next association meeting will be at Chelsea. The time and program are not y et announced.
