Over forty new names have been added to the membershio roll of the S. C. A. during the past two weeks. A systematic canvas is to be made soon aniong the ncw students to induce I them to show their colors as carly in the year as possible. Sunday morning, Oct. 10, at 9:15, actiutf President Hutchins will address the members ot the S. C. A. and thoir friends at Newberry Hall. In thia opening address Prof. Hutchins will speak on' "Universal Ideáis," the duties of all students to ckurch and other religious organizations and tue boaring of these observances on the formation of a christian cliaracter. During the past year the young women and the young men have had separato weckly prayer meetings. The officers have docided that the vahío cf these meetings might be increased by a return to the plaa cf union meetings. This chanoe will be given a trial during the month of October. The subject for the meeting on Wednesday evening, Ootober 13, will be "The Word j: God." Mr. H. M. Rich, the Generil Secretary of the association, will lead.
