Less than two years ago a man and liis wife in Baltimore borrowed $50 from a loan company, giving their household goods as security, and a number oL interest notes which obliged them to pay as interest $28 for every six months. They nave already paid $S5.50 in interest, but as they still owe $19.50 interest, as well as the principal, the creditor threatened to seize the furniture. Thereupon the hopeless debtors invaked the courts for some redress, but the judge was compelled to say that he could do nothing. And ia order to save thelr furniture they will have to pay back the original $50 and $135 for two
