It's safe to assume that we've all experienced some anxiety, tension, and stress since the beginning of the Pandemic. Join us as our panelists share strategies and tools you can use to cope with anxiety, designed to benefit people of all ages, from prenatal to older adults. The panel will also address the impact of racialized trauma on people of color.
Panelists:
Christine Snyder, Director at the U of M Health System Children's Center. Additionally, in her 20 years as an early childhood educator, she has been a birth-5 teacher, published 6 teacher resource books, and trained and coached early childhood teachers.
Lisa Anderson is a Clinical Social Worker and Therapist through Michigan Medicine and The Women’s Center of Southeastern Michigan working with teenagers and women in the perinatal period.
Raina LaGrand is a somatic trauma therapist and yoga teacher living in Ann Arbor MI. She has a diverse background in trauma-informed care and trauma treatment, including completion of Level 1 Sensorimotor Psychotherapy and additional training in trauma-informed mindfulness and movement strategies for trauma and mood disorders. Raina has been teaching yoga, mindfulness, and self-care workshops with a focus on healing justice since 2013.
Marna M. Clowney-Robinson, LLMSW, MLIS is a Clinical Social Worker and Librarian. As a mental health provider, she specializes in identity issues, eating disorders, and trauma. In addition she serves as an Access and Public Services Librarian at the University of Michigan Library. At the intersection of social work and librarianship, she utilizes bibliotherapy to treat eating disorders, has been featured on National Public Radio (NPR) discussing issues related to eating disorders within minority populations, and does research focused on trauma-informed approaches in academic libraries.
