Ina Helen Rankin
CHATHAM, Ont. - Miss Ina Helen Rankin, 70, former librarian at the University of Michigan died Saturday at the Chatham Public General Hospital.
Born July 28, 1882, she was the daughter of John Brown and Maud Service Rankin.
From 1926, until her retirement in 1951, she had been senior Periodicals librarian at the University.
She was a member of the American Library Association, the Michigan Library Association, and the Ann Arbor Library Club.
Since 1936, Miss Rankin had spent her summers at her cottage in Sleepy Hollow, Ontario.
She is survived by two sisters, Mrs. R. A. McLellan of Saskatoon, Sask., and Miss Hilda Rankin of Ann Arbor; and one brother, Robert J. of Halifax, N. S.
Funeral services were Monday in Blenheim, Ont., with burial at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham.
