I still remember seeing a production of The Wizard of Oz at Pioneer where an actor was wearing either roller skates or those shoes with wheels in the heel. Back then the aisles in Pioneer's theater were a series of long steps, not the ramps that we have today. The actor in the skates zipped right up and down all these platforms at different levels, and around and over the scenery on the stage. It was impressive! That must have been in the mid-1990s, so by now the actor himself might well be the parent of a student at Pioneer.
