Description
Presented by the Summer Festival and the Ann Arbor District Library, the Not Too Close events took place in August 2020 in select city parks.
Blues. Funk. Hip-hop. This might be Trey Priest at the core, but there’s always more. Influenced from all styles of music, the singer/songwriter from Detroit has actively performed within his own trio, as well as independently. Blending a classic Hendrix/Santana guitar vibe with modern lyricism similar to Anderson Paak, his music can be enjoyed by the young and the mature. Trey looks to constantly grow in his musicality, and is currently inspired by the sounds of Brazilian jazz and bossa nova.
The Summer Festival worked closely with the City of Ann Arbor Parks and Recreation Department to deliver this socially distanced concert. In accordance with the governor’s executive orders at the time, attendance was capped at 100 people for each event.
