Mrs. Elizabeth K. Beranek, 79, of 320 N. Main St., widow of the late William A. Beranek, a former Ann Arbor plumber, died Thursday afternoon at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after several years' illness.

She was born Jan. 12, 1878, in Ann Arbor, a daughter of Richard and Mary McNally Kearns. She was a lifelong resident of the city.

She married Mr. Beranek on Thanksgiving Day, 1900. He died in 1942.

She was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church.

Survivors are a son, William E. of Ann Arbor; 10 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. A son, Harold, died in 1942.

Funeral services will be held at 9 a.m. Monday in St. Thomas Church with burial in St. Thomas Cemetery. The Rosary will be recited at 8 p.m. Sunday at the Muehlig Chapel, where friends may call after today.
