Son Of Local Man Dies At Age 16
George R. Altsman, 16, of Milford, the son of Earl F. Altsman of 3333 Oakwood St., Ann Arbor, was pronounced dead Friday on admittance to University Hospital. He had been ill the past three years.
The Altsman youth had lived with his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Campbell of Milford, the past several years.
He was born Sept. 2, 1942, at Beaver Falls, Pa., and had attended Milford Junior High School until he was forced to withdraw two years ago because of illness.
Survivors, in addition to his father and grandparents at Milford, include a brother, John Altsman, also of Milford, and his grandmother, Mrs. Mary Weiss of Beaver Falls, Pa.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at the Richardson-Bird Funeral Home in Milford, with the Rev. Clark Mann, pastor of the Milford First Baptist Church officiating.
Burial will be in Milford Cemetery.
