Coca-Cola, Ginger Ale, Root Beer, Pepsi - who doesn’t like a sweet fizzy drink now and then? But have you tried Guarana? This POPular beverage is common in the only Portuguese speaking country in South America. The fizzy delight is actually named for the plant from which its flavor is derived. The main part that is harvested is the seed, about the size of a coffee bean, and super pretty, but also kind of weird! It has a bright red skin and the insides look like big eyes! Guarana is right up there with so many other wonderful foods from this country, foods like feijoada, quindim, and vatapa.
