Rochelle Riley, author and former award winning columnist at the Detroit Free Press, gives an inside peek at her latest book, That They Lived: Twenty African Americans Who Changed The World. Later this week, join Rochelle for a live event with Q&A at 6pm on Friday, February 12th!
Rochelle Riley is an author, essayist, blogger and child advocate who spent nearly a quarter century as a columnist until she left in 2019 to focus on the arts. Now Director of Arts and Culture for the City of Detroit, she is a member of the Michigan and North Carolina journalism Halls of Fame and the International Women's Forum. Rochelle is also the author of the critically acclaimed book, The Burden: African Americans and the Enduring Impact of Slavery (or downloadable ebook).
