Minor quibble: I remember…
Minor quibble: I remember hearing this back in 2017 and having the same thought then: if she was born in 1908, she couldn't have attended Pioneer High School, because there was no school by that name in Ann Arbor until 1968. And indeed, her obituary places her at Ann Arbor High School. Nice story overall though - what a remarkable woman!
