Erwin W. Nunn, a printer at the Ann Arbor News for more than 45 years, died at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital early today. He was 73.

Mr. Nunn was born Feb. 8, 1904, the son of George W. and Anna (Hodson) Nunn. He married the former Doris Markham on Sept. 3, 1927. She survives.

Mr. Nunn, who lived at 1215 Astor Dr., joined The News on Dec. 10, 1923 and retired March 1, 1969. While at The News, he was on the negotiating committee for the Ann Arbor Typographical Local 154.

He was active in the Elks Club and was a past exalted ruler. Mr. Nunn was a member of the West Side United Methodist Church. He also played softball in Ann Arbor.

Other survivors include a son, Thomas E. of Jackson, a daughter-in-law, Marilyn, a grandson, Thomas W. and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Nunn was preceded in death by one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Bethlehem Cemetery. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday.
