NEW PARK SHELTER: Nearing completion is the new Burns Park multi-purpose shelter, inside which Jim Erbe (left) and Steve Banghart took a preview look with The News photographer. A formal opening ceremony is set for 7 p.m. next Thursday, for which tentative plans include remarks by the mayor and councilmen and music by participants in the summer recreation program. An open house for the public will also be held.
