Charles Davis, 65-year-old East Ann Arbor resident who lay ill and helpless on the floor of his unheated house at 3273 Forest Drive for more than 24 hours before he was discovered by neighbors last Sunday, died yesterday at the Washtenaw infirmary.

County hospital attendants said the elderly man's death was the direct result of his exposure.

Mr. Davis, who for some years operated a second-hand store on E. Washington St., was born near Belleville, March 10, 1872, and had lived in and near Ann Arbor for most of his life.

Funeral arrangements have not been completed.
