Description

Join The Farm at St. Joe's education coordinator Laura Meisler for an agricultural adventure! We'll enjoy hands-on activities centered on nutritious vegetables and how they grow.

Play the Seed Match Game, interact with our Soil Model, plant your own greens, try a Vegetable Taste Test and make a veggie print tote bag to take home.

The Farm at St. Joe's is a hospital-based farm that grows a healthy community by empowering people through food, education, and relationships. We offer many programs including our Farm Share (community supported agriculture produce subscription), and educational opportunities (summer camps, classes, field trips). Please visit stjoesfarm.org for more information.

Education Coordinator Laura Meisler is passionate about connecting people to the natural world through the gateway of food. A former farm laborer, children's museum educator and environmental educator, she has led The Farm's education efforts since 2013. Laura serves on the Farm to School team for Ypsilanti Community Schools and the advisory committee for the Ann Arbor Public Schools Freeman Environmental Education Center.

The event title is placed on a textured shape that looks like a label of a vintage jam jar. Behind the "label" is a basket of fresh vegetables and fruits, including apples, onions, leafy greens, and squash.
