Washtenaw and Livingston county deputies ended an eight-hour search for the body of Staff Sgt. Gerald A. Myers, 24-year-old Milan serviceman, at 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon when they recovered his body from Half Moon lake, six miles north of Chelsea. Myers, a veteran of the Tunisian and Italian campaigns, drowned Sunday night when high winds swamped the rowboat in which he and three companions were riding. The body was found about 120 feet from the north shore of the lake by volunteer searchers, Harold and William Schultze, Detroit, and Fred Mack, Portage lake cottager and host to Myers and his party Sunday.
