Description
Make a lovely window decoration featuring a scene from Studio Ghibli's beloved 2001 film Spirited Away! These easy and intricate multi-layer paper silhouettes will be pre-cut by machines and then assembled by hand.
The library's computer-aided cutting equipment will also be there for a live demonstration of how they work.

Is it possible to design something at home and have it cut at the library? If so, what program is best to use to create the File? Or, can a paper cut be scanned and reproduced on the cutter?

Thanks for your question! There aren't currently any upcoming open labs where a person could do this sort of thing, but it's an interesting idea! It's something we might be able to offer in the future, but trouble-shooting these machines often takes a huge amount of time and patience. If you're interested, you're absolutely welcome at tonight's event though. You could see what a paper craft looks like after roughly 20 hours of experimenting and troubleshooting.
