Description

Letterpress is the traditional process of printing by hand using moveable type. For this event Letterpress Lab staff will demonstrate how to lock up a small print job using lead type, composing sticks, quoins, furniture, leading, a chase and a galley tray! Want to learn what half those words mean, then make sure to drop by the Secret Lab.

New to letterpress? Please arrive at the start of the program for a 20-minute demonstration of how to use our equipment. Due to the presence of lead-based type, this program is intended for adults.
