Let's take the Summer Game out with a bang with a building-wide puzzle, badge coloring, badge button making, face painting, and more! Use your remaining Summer Game points to bid for special items in our auction!

Hi there! Is the auction going to be live or silent (i.e., do we have to be there the entire time to make bids)?

i only have one prize left so can i only get one thing at the auction, and also how expensive will the stuff be and how old do you have to be to participate?

the 4 prize limit only counts towards orders at the summer game shop, though there is likely to be a separate limit for the auction, in that we only want people to win one thing at auction unless nobody else is bidding. As far as how expensive stuff will be.... it's an auction! There's no way to know. It's easy to imagine some popular items going for 10,000-50,000 points! But there is no age requirement to participate. Thanks for asking!

So can we register for the auction anytime from 2:00 to 2:30? Like would coming and registering at 2:20 be fine?

Also one last question will they tell us how the auction works when we register or do we need to know beforehand?

Thank you to the library staff for another fun Summer Game! Love the new Scatterlog as well as the Super Search. Enjoyed the SG auction too.

I was working and not able to attend, but would love to see old leftover prizes show up to “purchase” with points. If there is anything left over.
Prize suggestions for next year-
Summer game fridge magnets
More stuffies (very popular with kids/tweens)
Smaller posters
Pet accessories (leash, neck scarf). Our Golden retriever collects yard codes with us and would love her own merch!

And PLEASE consider bringing back the full color tee- perhaps for many many more points since I imagine they’re expensive.
Also- there seemed to me so many more signs this year. Could you publish stats on that?
I anticipate that in 10 years times the citizens off Ann Arbor will abandon US dollars and adopt summer game points as our primary form of currency!

One more: Bumper Stickers. Ann Arbor is such a bumper sticker town. “Caution: I stop for AADL codes”

Hi Marcie, thanks for all your excellent suggestions! We are adding to the list for consideration! We did have just short of 2,000 lawn codes this year, a new record for sure. And bumper stickers are something we've done before and are likely to do again in a future year, I like your idea!

However, as far as full color shirts go, it's just not possible anymore at the scale of the summer game to offer full color shirts for free. It doesn't really matter how many points they cost, points don't show up on our balance sheet. =) We're exploring ways we might be able to offer full color shirts for sale, but unfortunately full-color shirts were something that was barely possible with less than 10,000 players and is no longer possible when we've got 14,000+! Sorry for the disappointment, but thanks for playing!
