Description

Calling all word nerds and language enthusiasts! Join us for the launch event for Says Who?: A Kinder, Funner Usage Guide for Everyone Who Cares About Words, the eagerly awaited book by Michigan's own Anne Curzan—acclaimed linguist, dean of the University of Michigan's College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, and co-host of Michigan Public’s “That’s What They Say” program.

Venture into the ever-evolving world of language with Curzan, a renowned speaker whose insights spark curiosity and laughter in equal measure. She'll be in conversation with “That’s What They Say” co-host Rebecca Kruth, who also hosts Michigan Public’s weekday afternoon program "All Things Considered". They'll offer a lively exploration of the playful possibilities and hidden complexities of using language well. The conversation will be followed by audience Q&A.

This event includes a signing with books for sale and is in partnership with Greenhills School and Michigan Public. Advance registration is encouraged but walk-ins are welcome. Register at michiganpublic.org/events.
