Description
Anhong Guo & Jaylin Herskovitz, University of Michigan Human-AI Lab
We are a team of researchers from the University of Michigan Human-AI Lab working to develop new assistive technologies for blind and visually impaired people. Our goal is to make the real world and the digital world more accessible. We have released two applications on the iOS App Store: 1) VizLens to access everyday appliances, such as microwaves, washing machines, and more, that are not labeled with raised dots or Braille (vizlens.org), and 2) ImageExplorer to understand the detailed content of images (imageexplorer.org). We are also developing assistive technologies for real-world descriptions, visual information filters, image editing tools, 360° videos, and mixed reality. Join us for this presentation to learn more about the mobile applications and research projects we are working on, and how to get involved!
