I had a heck of a time with this but finally did find a download yesterday and did download and figured maybe it took a day to register but still don't see points today despite having opened it and all? Wondering why?

Hmm! That is strange!! I just tried a download and it seemed to award points instantaneously without issue. Try opening this link to a downloadable book and see if that does it for you:

In clicking your link, everything did credit instantaneously, but I anticipated then seeing the document in my download file and thought I'd have to then open it, but no, it just gave the points. Thanks. I think this particular area is a bit of a mystery to me, but thanks for your help.

All you need to do is open the item record for the points!! IF you want to actually download it, that's another step that we don't require for the points/badge :)
