Description
Origami is the art of folding a square sheet of paper into anything you can imagine. An Origami World is a collection of original origami animals and flowers created by Jason Schneider. Jason has been practicing and teaching origami for over twenty years. Instructions for everything in the exhibit can be found in his book, Origami Memories, or in his contributions to other international origami publications.
While the name origami is Japanese in origin, paper-folding has been documented as originating in multiple societies around the world independently from one another. Traditional paper-folding has since transcended into mathematical and scientific applications - from satellites in space to proteins in the cell.
