Description
Widespread adoption of renewable energy will be essential for Ann Arbor to achieve its A2ZERO goal of carbon neutrality by 2030. However, the upfront cost of technologies like solar panels remain unattainably high for many. Fortunately, this barrier is about to change in a BIG way! In November 2024, residents overwhelmingly voted to authorize the creation of a Sustainable Energy Utility (SEU), an opt-in, supplemental community-owned energy utility that will provide 100% renewable energy from solar, battery storage, and networked geothermal systems installed at participating homes and businesses. Please join us for the last Sustainability Forum of 2025 to hear from Missy Stults, Director of Ann Arbor’s Office of Sustainability and Innovations, as she discusses the SEU – what it is, what it isn’t, and what’s coming next!
This event is in partnership with Ann Arbor Office of Sustainability and Innovations.

The Library will be providing a live stream of this event in real-time. A video player will appear on this page 1 hour before the start of the event and be removed at the conclusion of our event. Due to permissions, we will not be able to offer a recording of this event for future viewings.
