Description

Flavor wheels are tools that help you develop a language for what you eat or drink. The organizing principle behind them varies, which makes using flavor wheels challenging if you're doing it on your own. What's an everyday or budding foodie to do?    Getting together with inquisitive members of the Ann Arbor community to explore flavors is a great place to start. You'll learn how to access emotions and memories evoked by flavors, so you can decode the logic of flavor wheels and have more enriching flavor experiences.   The "experience" menu for this program includes smelling aromas on fragrance blotters and sampling flavors as they relate to flavor wheels. Attendees will be empowered to explore things on their own, and share what they learn with friends and family.

Taste & Tell is led by Michelle Krell Kydd, a trained nose in flavors and fragrance who shares her passion for gastronomy, sensory evaluation, and the perfume arts in Glass Petal Smoke. Taste & Tell builds community through interactions with flavor, fragrance and storytelling.

Taste & Tell sessions are presented to an in-person audience via a live Zoom presentation by Michelle Krell Kydd. Scents and other materials are provided to in-person attendees.
