OLD CITY RECORDS TOSSED OUT: Removal of old, useless city records on a mass scale was underway today. City workers Howard Gregg (on truck) and Pano Bedolla are shown with one truckload nearly completed. The disposal operation was in accordance with a recently effective records retention schedule, formulated by the city's Wallace W. Coburn who was in charge of the operation today. The schedule sets periods which various records must be kept. Aim is to conserve space and money for storage and filing facilities.
