Description
State of Pride in 2025: Where Are We With LGBTQ Equality? 2025 has brought many changes in the rights of LGBTQ people, especially for transgender and nonbinary people. From Michigan working to advance protections to massive rollbacks at the federal level, join Naomi Goldberg, executive director of a think tank focused on speeding equality for LGBTQ people, to learn more about the state of LGBTQ equality here in Michigan and nationally. Learn more about what's happening and what may be coming next.
Naomi Goldberg is the executive director of the Movement Advancement Project (MAP), which powers the LGBTQ movement with research, tools, and resources, including a comprehensive tracking of state laws and policies that impact LGBTQ people. Naomi previously led MAP's policy research and was a public policy fellow at the Williams Institute at UCLA School of Law immediately after graduating from the Ford School. She lives in Ann Arbor with her wife and son and serves as the LGBTQ Liaison to the Mayor's Office.

The Library will be providing a live stream of this event and we intend to make it available for future viewing. A video player will appear on this page 1 hour before the start of the event.
