Description

Art is an escape in and of itself. Just as the artist freely explores recreating 3-D images into new forms, the final interpretation then takes the viewer's imagination on a journey into this alternate reality. Maybe the image is a realistic representation of a person, place or thing, or maybe it is a subjective image delving into the abstraction of colors and shapes in relationship with each other expressing depth and mood that are open to interpretation. There is an absence of oneself, a temporary suspension of self awareness when one is lost gazing upon an image that intrigues them. From the artist's initial idea, to the final product, to the viewer's impression of the work–the entire life cycle is an exploration, a journey, a great escape.
