Description
Join us for a transformative panel discussion on racialized trauma and healing. This event will feature family members of the late George Floyd, who will candidly share their personal journeys of coping with profound loss and transforming grief into meaningful social change. Two esteemed psychologists will also join the panel to provide professional insights into the psychological impact of racial trauma and explore strategies for resilience, recovery, and wellness.
In addition, we are excited to offer “racialized healing bags”—a curated collection of resources designed to help you build your toolkit for healing and wellness. These bags include supportive materials and tools aimed at fostering personal growth and collective empowerment.
This event is a unique opportunity to engage in a compassionate dialogue that bridges personal experience with professional expertise, paving the way for both individual healing and systemic change. We invite you to be part of this essential conversation.
This event is sponsored by Division 45: Society for the Psychological Study of Culture, Ethnicity and Race; a division of the American Psychological Association.
The Library intends to provide a live stream of this event pending the presenter's permission. Please check back closer to the event for additional updates.
