Buhring It On!

If you love a day out in the BUHRning hot midsummer sun, then we've got the PERFECT outdoorsy badge for you! To complete this badge, you'll get yourself to Buhr Park at 2751 Packard St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (right by Cobblestone Farm). Once there, we'll lead you on a meandering walk along mostly paved trails to check out various features of the park and grounds. Bring some sunscreen and water and, if you have kiddos, plan on some playground time (or the pool, if that's your thing) at the end! 

Pro tips:

• Paved lot and trail (2 codes require some grassy detours off the sidewalk)
• A mix of sun and a little shade—bring sunscreen, etc.
• Stroller friendly
• Some of this badge is wheelchair friendly, but not all of it. 
• Parking can fill up during private events at Cobblestone or weekends at the pool. Be flexible or go another time.
• This badge does NOT require entrance to the pool (which has a small fee)! But it does walk you right past it and into the parking area to read a sign. In other words, your kids might freak out about wanting to swim! ;)

GETTING THERE:
Driving? Head to Buhr Park at 2751 Packard St, Ann Arbor, MI 48104 (right by Cobblestone Farm!). Park in either the larger parking lot on the right behind Cobblestone Farms and the baseball field, OR the smaller lot on the left by the playground and tennis courts. Don't try and park by the pool (you'll end up walking more than you need to and/or not find a spot). The badge will begin by the larger Cobblestone lot and end near the playground. If there is an event at Cobblestone or it's a hot day or holiday, the lots can get quite busy at Buhr—plan for that and be flexible! :) 

Busing? AAATA TheRide Bus route 67 has a stop on Packard right near the entrance to the Park. From the stop, head north along the paved trail that leads to the tennis courts. Stay left at the tennis courts to go around them and the playground without having to walk in the road. When you end up by the playground parking lot, cross the road towards the larger Cobblestone Farms and baseball lot. Head for the southeast corner of that parking lot, where you'll find a big wooden sign. Taking the bus makes this a walking total of about 1.2 miles. More bus info can be found here!
