Description
In this talk with Anishinaabe and Korean-American analog printmaker Jamie John, they’ll explain how the multifaceted medium of printmaking has historically been used to call for social change, the relationship to labor and art making under the logic of late capitalism, and why we print to build community. Even before the wide use of the printing press artists have been using print as a way to disseminate radical information, condemn war and fascist governments, and extend visual solidarity to marginalized peoples globally for centuries.
