Properties totaling 1,457.6 acres owned by the University within Ann Arbor, plus three investment properties, were listed in a report given to the U-M Regents yesterday by Wilbur K. Pierpont, vice president for finance. The report divided the total acreage between the central campus, 376.02 acres; the Medical Center, 80.58 acres; the North Campus, 873.79 acres; the stadium and plant department area, 213.23 acres; and the other city areas, acres. The three investment ties are located at 1137 E. Ann .1666 of an acre; 1021 E. Huron, .2 of an acre; and 1019 Ferdoni Rd., .125 of an acre. "These temporary real estate investment properties are shown separately in the annual financial report," the report said. "They are used for academic or related development as they are needed." The report also gave an indication of the growth in the University's land holdings. In 1837 the total acreage was Í0.30. It was 45.30 acres in 1871; 70.47 in 1901, 153.22 in 1911, 201.94 in 1921, 278.09 in 1931, 290.61 in 1941, 323.37 in 1951, 276.86 in 1961, and 1,457.63 in 1967.
