Fiife' local organizations have been awarded a $125,000 grant by the federal Department of Health, Education and Welfare for drug education programs in Ann Arbor. The grant was obtained through the University's Office of Student Services, and will include drug education ef" by Drug Help Inc., the Black Drug Program and Tribal Council. Also participating will be a University psychology course. The local program is one of 46 such grants funded to communities and colleges throughout the country. The grants are the first funded under the Drug Abuse Education Act of 1970. The grants awarded thus far total $2.8 million.
