Controller Is Appointed For Schools
William W. Wade, 31, of Livonia has been appointed controller of the Ann Arbor Public Schools. He will assume his duties of office Jan. 25. Wade is a 1965 gradúate of the University of Detroit and later did gradúate work at Marquette University m finance and economics. He received his MBA from the University of Detroit last year. From 1969-70 the newly-appointed controller was with the product planning and development staff as a financial analyst for the Chrysler uorp. His previous job experience also includes positions of operations manager for the American Telephone and Telegraph Co. in Indianapolis, Ind., and a partner with Cooney, Wade and Associates in Detroit. Married and the father of two Wade is a member of the American Marketing Associa, tion, the American Management Association and the Society of American Value Engineers. The newly-created position of controller will involve ministering the accounting and financial reporting systems for the district; budget preparation and control; administering programs for the protection of school assets; and school bond programs and internal audits. Wads will work under the assistant superintendent of business and finance, and the salary for his new position will be $20,500 a year.
