School Program Opened To All At St. Thomas
St. Thomár'Ekmntary School artí High School, planning to open again in the fall if a suffieient number of students are registered and if approval is granted by the archdiocese, have set Tuesday as the deadline for registration. A new tuition plan has been formulated by the school board: the school is open to students whether or not they live within the parish and whether or not they live in Ann Arbor. Parishioners will pay $150 tuition per family plus a fee for each child; $40 per high school student and $20 per elementary school student. There will also be a $500 special assessment per family for a scholarship fund which is being developed to assist those families which want to enroll children at St. Thomas but feel they cannot afford the total cost. Tuition for non-parishioners is $650 per family with one child. For families with more than one child in school, the tuition will be $410 for each elementary student and $610 for each high school student. Non-parishioners must also pay the $20 or $40 fee for each child, depending on whether he is in elementary or high school. The plan will be outlined and questions answered at a meeting scheduled for 7 p.m. Sunday in the Parish Hall, 525 N. State St. A tour of the school also is planned. School officials have invited interested parents, whether Catholic or non-Catholic.
