Fact Finding For Schools To Begin Nov. 8

The fact finding hearing for contract negotiations between the Ann Arbor Education Association (AAEA) and the Board of Education is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. at the Ann Arbor Public Library. Prof. Keith Groty of the Michigan State University School of Labor and Industrial Relations was appointed by the Michigan Employment Relations Commission (MERC) following the failure of both groups to approve names submitted to I them Prof Groty's name was no included in either of the two previous lists. The hearing, which is open to the public is for non-binding fact finding on the issues of salary insurance benefits and class size. Failure of the board and AAEA o reach a 1971-72 contract settlement resulted a three-day teacher strike at the opening of school.
