Teachers Should Sign Now
Editor The News: Last September the Teachers Association told the public that they were going to go on strike because the Board of Education was hiding money from them and had said it would have to cut programs to give them all the money they were asking for. They said they wére absolutely opposed to cutting programs and that the board could find the money without doing this. Then the teachers said they wanted a neutral fact-finder to come in and prove this. Só the Board of Education agreed and a -fact-finder was invited in. Now the fact-finder has come and gone and he has said that the board is not hiding any money and that there is not enough money for the teachers' demands without cutting programs. So since the teachers say they don't want programs cut, they should now take whatever money is there and sign a contract. I hooe they do this soon.
