School officials are fairfy certain that American history curriculum this fall at both elementary and secondary levéis will contain the story of minority groups, including that of theJj Negro. .'..-I i William Nimroth, social studies coördinator for the Ann Arbor Public Schools, told the Ann Arbor Board of Education last pight that the staff was making "good progress" on preparing the integrated curriculum. Bibliographies, textbooks, filmstrips and other materials are being chosen, he said. Nimroth also apprised the trustees of an in-service training program on Negro histor-y, which was offered to the public school teachers this winter. Two University professors taught thej course. Nimrotii said that the history department at Ann Arbor High School had asked permission to continue the one-semester elective on Negro history for seniors next year. The course, which was introduced in January, has 45 students and is very successful he said.
