Schools' Unit On Grooming Sets Hearing
The Dress and Grooming Committee of the Ann Arbor Public Schools will hold a pubic hearing at 7:30 p.m. Monday in the meeting room of the Ann Arbor Public Library, 343 S. Fifth Ave. Persons who have been invited to give testimony at the hearing are Ann Arbor Board of Education Trustee Paul H.l Johnson and President Josephl R. Julin; Pioneer High Princi-I pal Theodore R. Rokicki; Hu-I ron High Assistant Principal! Albert Gallup; a representativel of the American Civil Liberties Union; Dr. William Morse, a professor of education psychol-l ogy at the University, and ProfJ Guy E. Swanson, a sociologistl from the U-M. School Board Vice President Harold J. LockJ ett also may testify. Prof, William J. Pierce, chairman of the commitee, saidl the hearings would be open fon public testimony within a wee or two. The committee is charged with reviewing the groomind policies for secondary studend in the Ann Arbor School Sysj tem.
