School Board Gets Experts' Site Advice
A pan' of fivé local (xpertsl presented talks to the Ann Arbori Board of Education Wednesday. night on the factors to be 1 sidered in school site acquisi-! tion, development and utilization. The panel members were Carll Johnson, of the landscape archi-l tectural firm of Johnson, John-I son and Roy, Inc.; Dr. Williaml Stapp, outdoor education con-l sultant for the Ann Arbor Schooll District; Mrs. Eunice Hendrix,l a naturalist for the public schools; Douglas Fulton, outdoor editor and special projects editor for The Ann Arbor News, and Dr. Russell Wilson, associate professor of educational administration in the University's School of Education. The panel was moderated by Trustee Joseph T. A. Lee. Lee announced that all five panelists had agreed to serve as an ad hoc committee to study present school site acquisition procedures and to Tecommend future courses of action. The trustees probably will vote on establishing the committee next week. In other business, a proposed list of revised bylaws of the Washtenaw County School Officers Association was discussed by the board. The revised laws are expected to be voted on March 6. Trustee Richard M. Wood did not attend the briefing and executive sessions, held at Newport lElementary School.
