The University Board of Regents voted unanimously early this afternoon to close University School, beginning with the junior high grades next month and concluding with the elementary grades in June 1970. Éducation School Dean Desígnate' Wilbur J. Cohen assured regents that research of the sort conducted by University faculty members at University School can be expanded through contacts with public schools in Ann Arbor, Ypsilanti, Detroit and other cities.
