Sophomore Orientation Night at Pioneer High School will take on a new format this year, reported sophomore Class Principal David W. Stipe. Orientation Night- to be held twice this year to accommodate the parents of the 815 new students at Pioneer and to facilítate the new format- is an annual September affair. In previous years the parents convened in the school auditorium for talks and a discussion meriod. This year, following 'presentations by PTO President Dr. Lee W. Jones and Pioneer Principal Theodore R. Rokicki, small groups of parents will meet in the library and study halls with the homeroom teachers. Parents have been assigned meeting nights according to their "hild's homeroom assignment. The two orientation nights are this Thursday and the following Tuesday, Sept. 30. Both sessions begin in the auditorium at 7:30 p.m. The "Parents Only" information session is a program sponsored jointly by the Pioneer Parent Teacher Organization and the school's officials. At the meeting Stipe said parents will be able to meet at least Il5 teachers and to air questions in regard to attendance, testing, driving regulations, graduation requirements, dress codes and whatever else may be of concern.
