A boundary cbshge between Slauson and Tappan Junior Highs which had been approved by the Ann Arbor Board of Education July 1 was rescinded at last night's board meeting. The students from the Slauson attendance district who are eligible for busing will not be bused to Tappan in September, as had been planned. They will remain at Slauson. That switch is no longer needed to relieve the crowding at Slauson, because of the decisión last night to institute split shifts for 1970-71 at Slauson. The split shift will alleviate that overcrowding. When the boundary change was made July l, it was specified that ninth graders at Slauson who would be bused to Tappan would be given the option of finishing at Slauson, but the rest would have to move to Tappan. But the entire plan is now cancelled.
