Adult Education Aide Is Appointed

The afppointmenf of Raymonc J. Meiers, 44, of Plymouth, as assistant director of continuing education for the Ann Arbor Public Schools was approved last night by the Board of Education. Meiers will assist Continuing Education Director Kenneth Greer, beginning Sept. 8. His salary will be $16,500. The Continuing Education program offers a variety of courses for adults, mainly in the evenings. Meiers has been coördinator of community instruction in Livonia since 1967. Prior to that, ne was assistant coördinator the Livonia Extended Scho Program f rom 1966-67; evenii supervisor of Franklin H i g School in Livonia from 1964 1965, and a biology and ener istry teacher at Bentley Hij School in Livonia from 1961 ■ 1964. From 1951 to 1960, Meiej was a bacteriologist laboratoi supervisor. Meiers has bachelor's a n master's degrees from the Un versity of Detroit, and is pre: ently completing requiremeni for educational specialist's d gree at Eastern Michigan Un versity.
